Blessing of the Animals

2016 marks the 20th year that Cathedral Church of the Redeemer has opened its doors to horses, dogs, cats, snakes, ferrets and hamsters to be Blessed by a sanctioned Reverend.  The ceremony includes hymns, prayers, the Blessing of each individual animal, as well as a remembrance for those mourning the loss of a pet.  Refreshments were offered at service completion, and several local adoption agencies attended in the foyer.
