Global Pet Foods
Global is a chain, with stores spread across eight provinces, but it is 100% Canadian and most branches are independently owned. There are five locations in Calgary. I’ve been able to find some really neat products in some locations; each store differs in products offered. The Northmount Drive Global offers a huge selection of locally-produced bully sticks and natural chews, as well as Nina Ottosson food puzzles and Starmark treat balls, which are tough to find. The Shawnessy location sells Sleepypod car harnesses and some truly beautiful and functional raised feeders. Service in both locations is helpful and both have cheerfully offered to order products for me when they don’t stock them. If you’re ever travelling north, the Global in Leduc is stupendous.
