If hunting, fishing, camping, boating or taxidermy is your thing, Bass Pro is the store for you. Every conceivable outdoor accessory, from basic to luxurious, can be found within the vast 150,000 square foot retail omphalos. More than just a gear shop, “Outdoor World” is an experience jammed with deer, elk, moose, bear, goat, fox, wolf, beaver – you name it, they have a stuffed one. A favourite feature is a live waterfall and a two-storey-tall fish tank. A café is tucked into a corner, offering sandwiches, ice cream and fudge, to give you energy to navigate the mega-store. Bass Pro Shops is soundly dog-friendly, and is big enough for Jay to be comfortable browsing. Unfortunately, the rest of the mall is off-limits to pooches, so know that a visit with Fido will be confined to this one shop only.
