Renfrew/Tom Campbell's Hill/Bottomlands

Accessed via St. George’s Drive

If you’re looking to walk off-leash in a place as stimulating for you as it is for your dog, give Renfrew a try.  Renfrew is actually three areas:  Bottomlands, Renfrew, and Tom Campbell’s Hill.  All are connected by crossing a single street and you can wander for several hours if you take them all in.

Bottomlands comprises an area tucked in behind Spark Science Centre.  A parking lot is available off St. George’s Drive.  Paved pathways and grass trails are available for exploring.  This is a visually interesting area, but is unfortunately noisy due to its proximity to Deerfoot Trail.

Renfrew is a wide hill with significant grade opposite the Science Centre.

Perched high above Bridgeland, Tom Campbell’s Hill offers sweeping 270o views of the city, including downtown.  Paved pathways, grass trails and wide-open prairie plain are all available for traversing.  At least two waste bins are provided.  A small parking lot is situated off Centre Avenue.
