Elliston Park
1827 68 Street SE
Elliston is a really pretty park, offering grassed open areas, forested pathways and a ‘lake’ of stored storm water. Elliston is a community park, not just a dog area, so there are playgrounds, picnic tables, washrooms, manicured rose gardens and plenty of benches to contemplate the peaceful surrounds. The southern third of the park is off-leash. We visited on a gloriously warm September Sunday, and the park was sparsely populated, so if you or your pooch prefer a quieter walk, Elliston is a good choice. The sculpted landscape is a beautiful change from the feral prairie terrain typical of most dog parks.
