The Dogsafe® Canine First Aid course teaches life-saving skills for both dog owners and professionals, as it equips them with essential skills to respond to emergencies until veterinary care is available. From choking, heatstroke, and wounds to poisoning and fractures, knowing how to act swiftly and correctly can make a significant difference in saving a dog’s life. This 1-day course offers practical, hands-on training that prepares you to remain calm and administer effective first aid. Taught by experienced dog trainers who emphasize humane and positive handling techniques to ensure that the dog's physical and emotional needs are met during an emergency.

12th Annual Puppy Pancake Day at Bon-a-Pet-Treat Pet Store and Bakery
At this customer appreciation and fundraising event there will be complimentary puppy pancakes with toppings, raffle prizes, goodie bags, spin to win, a family photo booth, caricaturist, adopt-a-thon, in-store sale, human refreshments, pet food vendors and more!
Originally started in 2013 as a response to the Calgary floods, Puppy Pancake Day has become our way of giving back and showing appreciation to our community. 100% of funds raised are donated to Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF), with Bon A-Pet-Treat! matching donations dollar for dollar. ARF will also be joining us for the day with adoptable dogs!
Zulu K9 Challenge pits you alongside your pooch for a 5km run with up to 20 obstacles where you HAVE to take your dog along. From tight spaces to wet areas, high spaces and everything in between. You are mandated to have a handsfree leash and a harness (easy to use when lifting your dog)

Dog Jog is a family and fido-friendly, non-competitive walk or jog fundraiser that raises awareness and funds for the thousands of animals Calgary Humane Society protects and cares for each year. Join us on Saturday May 31, 2025 at North Glenmore Park and the path along the Reservoir for a 5 km walk or jog. Once your walk is complete, you and your family are encouraged to spend the day with us to celebrate your fundraising accomplishments. Our outdoor festival includes a dog-friendly beer garden, food trucks, a kids zone, bouncy castles, agility course and so much more!

Parkdale Petfest started in 2017 by a group of pet enthusiasts living in the community of Parkdale and surrounding areas to celebrate love for all living creatures. Petfest is a Not-for-Profit, powered by passionate volunteers to build a community legacy project and provide support to other local businesses and pet enthusiasts. Generated funds are returned to the Parkdale community for other events throughout the year.
