River Park
50 Avenue & 14 Street SW
River Park is the largest and most used off-leash area of the Britannia/Landsdowne/River Park triad. Terrain is wide, grassed, and mostly flat with perimeter trees for shade. Some slopes are available in the northern tip that snake towards the Elbow River, though there is no off-leash access to the river on this side of the park. A parking lot is provided on the south border, and waste bins are sprinkled along the gravel pathway. Porta-Potties are located in the parking lot, and plentiful benches are available for resting. River Park boasts downtown views and a super-cool doggie water fountain. The eastern perimeter showcases dramatic views of the Elbow River and Britannia slopes. Perhaps for these reasons, it’s one of the most popular and busy dog parks in the city.
River Park even has its own advocacy group - how fantastic is that? https://riverparkdogs.com/2015/09/01/for-the-love-of-our-dogs/
