If you love a manicured landscape, the community of Silver Springs harbours a very special place: a botanical garden and forest trail wholly created and maintained by volunteers. The gardens offer a labyrinth, rose bowl, shade garden and Shakespeare garden, as well as other areas. I am gobsmacked that this sylvan sanctuary doubles as an off leash park. We visited in mid-May; I can't wait to return when some more blooms are in colour.
