The Pet Gear Store, located inside the Calgary Humane Society building, is one of my favourite places to shop. They are the only retail outlet in the city that sells Sure-Fit harnesses, my preferred walking harness, and double-ended leashes. They are the only retailer, apart from veterinary offices, to offer Adaptil DAP products and Enzadent toothpaste. The Gear Store also carries a fantastic selection of high-quality books and DVD’s covering training and specific behavioural challenges. The feel-good factor is that all profits go directly into CHS programs.
Update summer 2018: the double-ended leash so beloved is unfortunately no longer available, as the manufacturer has closed the business. The Gear Store still carries a double-ended leash, but it lacks the handy multiple D-rings of the prior version.
